Jennie grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, but sadly has ridden a horse to school only once. Upon high school graduation, she swapped her country upbringing for the bustling metroplex of ATX, where she did her best to “Keep Austin Weird” by absorbing everything that the University of Texas could offer—Global Business, Social Entrepreneurship and Nonprofit, and Hispanic Studies through Plan I Honors. The Rocky Mountains stole her heart next, where she served as an AmeriCorps member for City Year Denver at College View Elementary. After a quick stint in Ecuador guiding teens, she spent a few years in Carbondale working for a PR group, then fled higher into the hills to join a creative marketing team in Crested Butte. As of 2024, she found her way back to Carbondale, where she started as the Associate Director of (HS)2, an organization and experience that she only wishes she’d found sooner!
