Christine Gregoire once said, “Education is the foundation upon which we build our future.” During my freshman year of high school, I was granted an extraordinary opportunity to set that foundation. Through the High School High Scholar [HS]2 program I was able to study in Carbondale, Colorado at the Colorado Rocky Mountain School. For three consecutive summers, I took math, science, writing, and college prep courses which corresponded to what I would be learning the following year. Getting a head start on my academics and classes not only prepared me for the following year but also helped build the framework to my life now. With big help from [HS]2, I now attend one of the best universities in the country: Tulane University. I am a third-year Architecture major in a five-year program and am on track to graduate in 2021. So, now I would like the moment to say thank you. Thank you to all the faculty, coordinators, and benefactors that invested in my education and laid the foundation.
