A’Kayla Harrison, originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Adolescent Psychology at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and will graduate in 2027. A’Kayla is a proud alumna of (HS)2, Class of 2022, and is excited to return to a program that holds a special place in her heart. While balancing her studies as a full-time student, A’Kayla is actively involved in Empower Youth NOLA, where she mentors youth ages 10–18. She is deeply passionate about empowering young people and speaking life into them, helping them recognize their potential and purpose. In her free time, A’Kayla enjoys reading, going on walks, being with her community, and needlepoint. She is thrilled to return this summer and experience the program from a new perspective while continuing to uplift and inspire the next generation.
