Emma Cooley grew up in Western Colorado and attended Colorado Rocky Mountain School from 2014-2016, where she originally learned to silversmith. She loved the craft so much, she continued to pursue it independently. She later attended Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado and received a B.S. of Biology with a minor in Studio Arts. While in undergraduate, she concentrated in botany, and now loves to connect the two worlds of science and art. She believes making art and working with your hands can open doors and bring meaning to your life. This is her third year with (HS)2 and she has spent the last year living in Florence, Italy studying jewelry design and silversmithing.
