Hi all. My name is Hadley Hentschel, and I am as excited as an energized electron to join the (HS)2 program this year. I have taught science for over 20 years in Carbondale, my first 20 at Roaring Fork High School, and the past two years at Carbondale Middle School. I really enjoy taking science outside and connecting all of the different fields in an integrated way. Though we will be focusing primarily on Biology, we also apply a significant amount of chemistry, earth science, some physics, and environmental science. When I’m not teaching, I’m usually outdoors biking, trail running, skiing, or walking my two dogs at the dog park. I also enjoy helping my 18-year-old son work on his project cars and my 16-year-old son navigate the crazy world around him. My wife is also a life-long educator, and is currently the principal of Roaring Fork High School. I am really looking forward to meeting you all and helping you along on your journey of higher education.
