After growing up in Baltimore, MD, Irene moved to mid-coast Maine to attend Bowdoin College. She graduated in 2021 with a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science and a minor in education. While in Maine, she fell in love with the natural beauty of New England and wanted to experience life in even bigger mountains, moving to Denver, CO to explore the beauty of the Rockies. In her two years on the Front Range of Colorado, Irene fell deeper in love with the outdoors and also longed to return to a tighter-knit community. After getting her EMT license, Irene moved to the Roaring Fork Valley to pursue a career as a ski patroller on Aspen Mountain. The 2024 summer will be her first time working with (HS)2, and she is excited to share her love of learning, the outdoors, and math with her students and colleagues at CRMS.
