Originally from Fort Worth, Texas, Jonathan is a Civil Engineer turned educator that now calls Washington, DC home. He has worked as a middle school math teacher, served as an (HS)² Math Instructor, and most recently held an administrative role in a residential summer program. In the classroom, he focuses on helping students break down complex material, think through problems step by step, and build the confidence needed for continued success. He values creating learning environments where students can struggle, improve, and still find moments to laugh. As an alumnus of the program, Jonathan understands the HS2 experience firsthand. He is motivated by the mission of HS2 and longs for a world in which all students have unburdened access to higher education and professional opportunities.
