Olaiya Olatunji spent his early years in Nigeria and later moved to Germany, where he attended high school and studied mechanical engineering and automotive technology at the University of Applied Sciences in Aachen. After co-founding a music production company and traveling across Europe, he moved to the U.S. in 2018 and began teaching math in 2020. He has taught middle and high school math, coached robotics, and worked with students in both independent and charter school settings. Now based in Santa Cruz, Olaiya teaches Lego Robotics and will return to teaching high school math at San Lorenzo High School after the summer. He is excited to join the (HS)² community and share his passion for learning and teaching with students this summer.
