Paula was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, where she studied Chemical and Biomedical Engineering before heading to the U.S. to pursue a PhD in Biomedical Engineering at Purdue University. Today, she’s a lecturer at Indiana University Indianapolis, where she loves turning classrooms into collaborative spaces full of discussion, curiosity, and hands-on learning. Outside of school, Paula can usually be found struggling to make jumps in video games, dancing whenever there is Latin music playing, trying crafts, or playing with her dogs.
