Hi everyone! My name is Sharmely (she/her) and I recently graduated from Colorado College where I majored in Romance Languages and Literature (with concentrations in Spanish and Portuguese). As an alum of the (HS)^2 Class of 2017, I am super excited to come back and support the community where I made so many meaningful memories. I am originally from Harlem, NYC, but returned to Colorado for college after falling in love with Carbondale. It will be my first year in the program as an RA/Biology TA and I am looking forward to connecting with students who come from similar underrepresented backgrounds and supporting them throughout their journey to college and beyond. After this summer, I’ll be moving to Madrid, Spain where I’ll be teaching English to secondary school students! See you all soon
